Hi , I am non eu married with eu national  have been living in Germany since last 6 and half year in addition my wife is eu national and she left march 2024 I do not know where she is I have no contact with her so that’s why I went to immigration office to deregister her but they said Ordnungsamt will check it and my visa is going to expire on September 2024 and my question is will it effect to my residency I have unlimited full time work contract and I have part job also …

Welcome to the Wefugees Community and thank you for reaching out to us.

We discussed very similar questions on this platform before. You may want to check this thread or my colleague's answer here.

As spouse of an EU-citizen, you may be entitled to receive an independent residence permit after a divorce/seperation if you have been married to the EU-citizen for at least three years and at least one of these years in Germany. It is also required that you are working.

The relevant legal basis for this is paragraph 3, section 4, part 1 of the freedom of movement law.

I can also recommend you to get individual support in a migration counselling office in case you face difficulties.
