Here you can ask, answer and find questions surrounding the topic: arriving in Germany
Thank you for your prompt response! If i get an offer for a job or an Ausbildung contract, will I be able to stay there after completing my language course? Simply put, can I change my status of my visa during this period?

Dear Atif Mehmood,

Welcome back to the Wefugees Community and thank you for reaching out to us again.

I was trying to make some research on this topic a while ago here. Unfortunately, I am not able yet to add any further information.

However, I will link our dear @mbeon-ruth and @mbeon-Rukundo now as well. Maybe they can help us out!

All the best,

Meike

Hi @Atif Mehmood,

thank you for your question. I think this is an interesting topic for many job/Ausbildung-seekers.

I don't know what Visa you applied for, but I recommend finding an Ausbildung and making a preparational language course, which is "included" in the residence purpose of §16a of the german residence act.

See here:

Section 16a
Vocational training; advanced vocational training

(...)

The residence purpose of quality in-company vocational training as referred to in sentence 1 also comprises German language courses preparing participants for vocational training, in particular job-related German language training in line with the Ordinance on German Language Training (Deutschsprachförderverordnung).

If you get this residence permit, you don't have to change anything after completing your language course.
