Hello,

As a part of a legal dispute (according to § 495a ZPO), the court sent me an invitation to negotiate an agreement, since the beginning of the dispute, it was conducted via mail (and I did not have any translation issues there), but, now the court decided to conduct a negotiation hearing without any prior notice.

while I do not have any issues defending myself (Legally), my problem is that my German skills are not sufficient for a court hearing (Orally), so my question is :

Do I have the right to ask for an interpreter? can I delay the hearing due to language difficulties (e.g. until I find an interpreter )?

Any advice on the matter is appreciated.
