Waiting time for decision on asylum application

Question

Hello! I am new here in germany, Ive been here only since 7th of December, and I came here with my family but because I requested a hearing alone to explain my reasons for asylum, my family got their response and I have not. I am a Syrian national. I got a mail saying I will get my decision at the end of Juli, its the 21st of August and I still have nothing. Does anybody have any ideas what I should do? Thanks. BTW I am trans and if somebody needs help with hearings etc or proving it please leave a comment and leave your email.

Welcome to the Wefugees Community and thank you for reaching out to us. 

From my experience, it’s rather unlikely that the authorities can tell an exact time frame for the BAMF’s decision on an asylum application. Since the period communicated with you is not that long time ago, I wouldn’t be too worried. If you still prefer to elaborate on this, a refugee counselling office (i.e. from Caritas, Diakonie, Red Cross etc.) may help you to contact the BAMF and double-check.

I agree with my colleague, Meike. However, I would recommend you to reply the same E-Mail you have received from them and mention about what they have promised in their E-Mail to you and ask them to send your decision as soon as possible.

I also think that if you refer to a Migration Counseling Office about this, that would be helpful.
