I have a couple of concerns I’d like to seek your opinion.
Firstly, I got married in my home country before coming to Germany. Upon arrival with a German visa, i received the regular 3months residence permit. After 2months, i received 6months residence permit with the option to take up employment (however, i must seek permission from the foreign office before i can start the Job) so i am currently working & paying taxes.
After i received my 6months residence permit, i considered that to be a green sign, also considering the major prosecution issues i had in my home country before fleeing. As a result of that, my family began to face similar problems because the Govt officials couldn’t find me.
Haven provided all of these information to BAMF with evidences, also considering how long the entire process could take, i thought it wise to get my family a German visa so they can join me here. I succeeded in doing that and my family arrived Frankfurt and had the so called “Airport procedure” and fortunately, my wife was able to prove our marriage and everything corresponds with the information i had early provided upon arrival. They were transferred from Frankfurt to Hamburg to join me & were given a 3months residence permit while i have a six 6months residence permit.
Haven said this, my six months permit while expire in 1month. BAMF has not responded to my application yet. They same to either be confused with my situation or the UKRAINE situation is still overwhelming to them.
I have email my Migration officer on how i could get my Ausweis renewed, is it automatic or i have to go there in person? She is yet to respond to me. I currently i have a good job but my contract will be terminated immediately when my Ausweis expires.
Let me add that, BAMF are currently in possession of my families passports but not in possession of mine.
In a case where they ask me to bring my passport before they can renew my residence permit, what do you advise? Keep in mind that my case hasn’t been decided on. My Wife only had 1 major interview at Frankfurt & another one in Hamburg. She hasn’t been called for 2nd interview yet but i am done with all my interviews before receiving 6months ausweis. Do you think coming with a German visa could be at our advantage?
