I'm holding a resident permit 25 abs 5, is it possible to bring my wife from Nigeria to Germany

People with residence permit according to section 25 Abs 5 are excluded from family reunification.
Therefore with this residence permit you are ineligible to file in for your wife.

I have to agree with Great Man. Unfortunately, family reunification is not possible when holding the residence permit according to section 25 (5) as section 29 (3) third sentence of the German Residence Act says: 

The subsequent immigration of dependants is not permitted in the cases covered by section 25 (4), (4b) and (5), section 25a (2), section 25b (4), section 104a (1) sentence 1 and section 104b.

Nevertheless, I recommend you to contact a Migration counseling office to assess your individual conditions and your wife’s perspectives. Maybe you can find another way for her to come to Germany (study program, work etc.) or a way for you to “improve” your type of residence permit here.

But I have been holding the document since 2017 and I have be working and have never for once collected any social benefits since I came to Germany.

Hi, I see the situation the same as @Meike. If you hold a residence permit since 2017 and have been working in that time, then you may be entitled to permanent residency (Niederlassungserlaubnis). With permanent residency you would be able to have your wife join you here.
