How to become a professional driver (Berufskraftfahrer) in Germany?

Question

I wanted to know if a Truck driving in Germany is a good Carrier ?  and Whats the procedure ?  after getting Klasse B whats the next ? Klasse C oder Klasse c1 ? also is it possible to do Theory test in English ? i mean LKW Fuhraschine    i am 24 years old .hope i will get an answer soon ..

My colleague stated here:

"If you want to work as a truck driver, you need to do a so-called "Ausbildung zum Berufskraftfahrer" (apprenticeship to become a professional truck driver). Only having the truck driver's licence doesn't allow you to work with it. You can apply for a grant by Agentur für Arbeit for this apprenticeship as well."
