Ermittlungsverfahren wegen Verdachts des Betrugs“

Good Morning Dear Sir/Madam,

Please help! I received a letter from customs police/ Hauptzollamt Dresden with the serious subject of betrayal: „Ermittlungsverfahren wegen Verdachts des Betrugs“

What does it mean? Is it in Schufa n Führungszeugnis or is it a money fine only? What shall we do about it? can I be as open as I am here writing my story to u?

You know ell that I am married to my German wife since April 20th 2018. we have a daughter born March 2018. After birth my wife was with Jobcenter n after marriage it seems to have included me but I wasn’t aware of that!

I was living n working in Dresden while my wife n daughter lived in Leipzig and I was looking to find work in their city but not succeeded yet. So we had two households, small baby n no money n I took that stupid „Zustellerjob“ to pay my Dresden room. I didn’t told my wife I was doing it till the last week when I quit that job I only did it for 1,5 months and earned about 350€.

Now the case is issued that we didn’t inform Jobcenter and therefore betrayed the German state! My wife is so much scared now! We are both accused with the same matter and have to respond separately on same case with different numbers.

Please advise me!

However, from my first impression, you should not worry too much. The whole matter has nothing to do with the Schufa and from my perspective, it is also not relevant for the “Führungszeugnis”.
