Hi there, my name is Abdul and I am from Pakistan. I had applied for asylum in Germany in 2017 . It has been more than two years since my asylum but I have not received any decision but BAMF issued me a duldung. I heard that your case has been rejected if you received a duldung.
My question is I have a duldung for one and half year and I don't have any decision in hand,is it normal procedure or something is going wrong. I need some help as I don't know what to do . Many thanks

Dear Abdul,

first of all, welcome to the Wefugees community!

If the immigration office ("Ausländerbehörde") issued a Duldung, it will unfortunately most likely mean that the BAMF decided negatively on your case. Duldung by law means "temporary suspension of deportation" and the deportation is officially only suspended as long as the reason for the suspension continues to exist (i.e. missing documentation, health reasons, security situation in country of origin etc.). I would highly recommend you to consult a counselling office or a lawyer to discuss potential other options you might have for residence and to clarify your overall legal status.

Please feel free to get back to us with further questions also, we will try our best to support.

Kind regards and good luck,

Meike

Thanks for your answer I really appreciate it. I have talk with my lawyer and he said that it is a normal procedure and I also consulted on legal adviser he said the same thing,if BAMF has rejected my case then why I don't have any decision in hand. Now I don't know what to do. Should I go to other state or should I stay here,I am totally confused now.
