Asking Asylum.

Hi!
I will be thankful if you answer my question. I am a Srilankan. visits France with tourist visa. It is one month visa from 23rd of december,2018 to 22nd of January,2019. But maximum of stay is 15 days. I entered france 24th of December, 2018. so my 15 days will finish 7th of january,2019.
My question is as I have political issue in my country I can't go back there. So Can I ask asylum in France or any other european country? France will consider my asylum application? or will they send me back to Srilanka? and When do I have to apply for asylum ( while valid visa or after visa expired)?
Please advice me.

Hello  ,  Yes you can apply for Asylum in France too . But if you still have Valid Visa and you want to apply for Asylum in another EU country then simply take a Flight go there and apply for Asylum in local Asylum Office ,  But it doesnt matter your visa expired or Valid you can apply for asylum in both cases.

Thank you Kevin. But I gave my finger prints in embassy of France in Srilanka. So according to the dublin regulation if I ask asylum any other schengen country will they send back me to France?

Nope.  You can apply First time anywhere in EU , Dublin Law will apply on you if you do that 2nd time .  First time it will not impect on you.
