As for your question:
The Berufung (2nd appeal) is at the lower court the last appeal you can make if you still get a rejection( affirming the last decision of the court) then you can go to the higher court or proceed through the so called Härtfallkommssion(depending which city you are living) and seek a political decision on your right to stay in Germany.
