From which point on I am allowed to work as refugee? Is there a time where I am not allowed to work and what do I need so that I am allowed to?

If you are from a country that Germany considers a safe country you do not receive working permission during the asylum process. Not as I know it. If you are from a country that is not considered safe, after being registered for 3 months you are typically allowed to start working. Some cities have what’s called a “Vorrangprüfung”, which is a test by the foreign aliens department that no-german and no-EU-citizen can do this job. Some cities have it. Munich does.

So it’s something you need to be aware of. After 15 months of being registered in Germany this first check falls away and after being recognised, you are recognised within 10 months,  this check is also not longer there.

What does it mean by some countries that are safe and some that are not safe. Is it not safe at all or not for people from Germany?
It is that Germany has declared as a safe country. F.e. Germany sees Senegal as a safe country. There is a list online of countries that Germany officially declares as safe. Whether they are safe or not is a course open to discussion but it is how Germany use these countries that affect this law. And this [ ****://bit.ly/2imw7Ir] is available online.

It’s a country that Germany says, people who are living there are considered safe. Whether they are safe or not you can discuss but Germany has said people in this country have safe living conditions.
My name is Susan. I work for the society Hilfe von Mensch zu Mensch. I’m working as a social adviser. But sometimes you can convince the Ausländeramt that you should work. When employers fight a little bit with the Ausländeramt. An employer can say, I want this person, it’s good for me and I want to employ him.
Even when my country is safe?
Yes. When the employer says I want him and he has a good qualification, I only want him,  then there is a chance, that they help the employer. So sometimes fighting helps.
