Hello. Urgent question here please. I came to Germany in Berlin last year June and applied for asylum. When applying for asylum I gave my passport to the authorities. My asylum got rejected in October and I have made an appeal since then and the court has not made a final decision about my case. Am really worried that I handed my passport to the authorities who can deport me anytime they wish because they are having my passport as many people whom I have asked asserted, is this really the case. I have also started language school and I heard the asylum court can accelerate the procedure which wouldn't be favourable because it will definitely take time before I can obtain German B1 certificate to start ausbildung to be half safe from deportation.

Dear @Ajawo,

I saw that you also posted a comment with similar content here (I will link it for a better overview).

I am very sorry but unfortunately we can not estimate the risk of a deportation after the court ruling - especially only knowing your situation very briefly. We are no lawyers and can not provide legal counselling at this public platform.

I think you are doing very good in using the remaining time and try to learn the language as good as possible. This can clearly be helpful in the future. I highly recommend you to get some individual support in a refugee counselling office. You may use this search engine to find respective services in your area. If you want to share you approximate location, we are also happy to make some research on contact details.

In any case, please also don't hesitate to get back to us with any further questions.

All the best,

Meike

Dear Meike,
Thank you once again for the answer, as I said before, I live in Berlin. My lawyer told me the court proceedings will take time but I am too skeptical that's why I decided to ask here to hear the experience of others. He's also handling a long of other cases so I hope it takes time as he said.
