Dear @Mariam_1997,

Welcome back to the Wefugees Community and thank you for your question.

As far as I know, asylum seekers are usually not entitled to receive Kindergeld (child benefit) as long as they hold an “Aufenthaltsgestattung” - even if they work. There are exceptions for people from Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco though. If you are not from one of these countries and and employee, I’m afraid that you won’t be able to get Kindergeld.

For further information in various languages you may check Handbook Germany as well.

I hope this helps and please don’t hesitate to get back to us with any further questions.

All the best,

Meike
