Passport expired

Question

I applied Chancen-Aufenthaltsrecht on the 6th July 2023 and they told me that the process shall take ten weeks.My passport expired and I renewed it.I’m expecting it this month end.Should I sent the new passport to Aüslenderbehöde in order for them to enter details of it on the Chancen-Aufenthaltsrecht since the process is ten weeks?They were using expired passport for this process

From all information I know about this.
Your Nation passport must be valid minimum period of 6 Months,  and in your cade since it is expired please contact the Ausländerbehörde to summit this new Passport as soon as possible,  Else it may be a  reason to reject your application.
