Hi @aaudi624,
I unfortunately cannot say with certainty if this is possible while you are still in the asylum process.
You can book an appointment with the German Embassy and submit a visa application for the purpose of getting married in Germany. For this you will have to have a passport. If you had a Palestinian passport, here is information on how to get a new one in Sweden:
https://palestineembassy.se/consular-services/
Do not contact your embassy if this can have negative consequences for your asylum application.
You’ll also need to submit your LMA card and receipt of the application with the Migrationsverket.
They will also need to see you have registered to get married in Germany. Your partner will have to register to get married with her local registry office in Germany (Standesamt). To register to get married, she will have to submit the following documents to the Standesamt:
- Birth certificate
- Passport
- Certificate of eligibility to marry (Ehefähigkeitszeugnis)
If it is not possible for either of you to provide the last document, you will have to apply for an exemption.
For the visa application, your partner will have to prove she has sufficient income to cover both her own and your living costs and rent long-term.
You will have to show proof of knowledge of the German language at level A1.
All the above is generally the procedure if you had a residence permit in Sweden. I’m not sure if is also possible while still in the asylum process. Ultimately it is the German Embassy which would decide.
Best,
Éanna
