Hi @Haidi,

I presume you have applied for a residence permit according to paragraph 19d of the Residence Law, is this so? How long has it been since you made the application? You say you submitted proof, presumably of having completed the Ausbildung. Have you specifically made a written application for a residence permit?

You can check yourself whether you fulfil all the requirements to receive this permit:

https://***-gesetze--im--internet-de.translate.goog/aufenthg_2004/__19d.html?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp

This article provides a detailed overview of this type of residence permit (in English via an online translation):

Processing times for applications can vary due to their complexity and the particular numbers of cases an Ausländerbehörde has. As long as your Duldung remains valid, I would allow the Ausländerbehörde 2-3 weeks at first. If by then you have had no response, I would contact them asking for a brief confirmation they have received your application and are working on it.

Best,

Éanna

Thank you very much for your reply.

Yes by proof I meant the training completion certificate.

It’s been about a month since I submitted the said Certification along with proof of address since I moved around the same time. (No response)

My Ausweis expired about a week ago. After reading your answer and the link attached thiugh, I’ll leave an email tonight requesting an update.

As grateful as I am for this forum and people like you who help answer questions,  I hope I don’t get another question to ask. But, in the very likely case that I do, I'll be right back. Thanks
