I presume you have applied for a residence permit according to paragraph 19d of the Residence Law, is this so? How long has it been since you made the application? You say you submitted proof, presumably of having completed the Ausbildung. Have you specifically made a written application for a residence permit?

Processing times for applications can vary due to their complexity and the particular numbers of cases an Ausländerbehörde has. As long as your Duldung remains valid, I would allow the Ausländerbehörde 2-3 weeks at first. If by then you have had no response, I would contact them asking for a brief confirmation they have received your application and are working on it.
