Giro account Sparkasse

Question

I have Sparkasse Grio Account. I am paying everymonth 7.50 euro as account management fee. I found an paper article. Below is the link.

Is that true I can reimburse my account management fee? Because I have seen many countries banks do not charge any account management fee because bank itself invest our saving money in share market. Please clarify me if possible. Moreover of possible to change sama IBAN from Sparkasse to Commerzbank...etc please let me know possibility.

Hi Coop,

yes, if Sparkasse has increased their fees within the last years, you could reimburse the difference with the sample letter from the linked website, because you didn't actively agree to the terms.

The BGH had ruled on 27 April 2021 that if a bank’s general terms and conditions deemed the customer’s consent to changes to the terms and conditions to have been given, without any restrictions as to the content of such changes, and thus also to changes to fees, such terms were invalid.

Do you want to switch banking accounts? From Sparkasse to Commerzbank? Or could you give more information about your second question?

Yes I am willing to change. But concidering about standing orders and sepa direct debits. Also I have seen without monthly fee option woth Commerzbank. But does it apply to me if ausbildung 1st year I am getting 600 euro after Krankenkasse

Commerzbank has an option without fees. However, you have to pay a 9.90€ monthly fee if your deposit is less than 700€ per month.
