In 2019 around 91.000 court cases were opened against BAMF-decisions (please see this website for the numbers). Meaning that almost every second asylum applicant is making an appeal. Therefore, I assume that courts are very busy to judge on the amount of cases. The interview which people gave at the BAMF will also be the most important foundation for the court decision. The refugee council of Lower Saxony is giving very useful information on how to prepare for the court and potential hearings.
