Can I travel if my German residence permit will expire in a few months?

Question

I want to travel to Ghana and spend 2weeks holidays in this April but my German residence permit expires on this August 2020 and am asking can it be possible to travel whiles I have just 4month for my permit to expire August?

Please I need an answer!

Welcome back to the Wefugees community and thank you for sharing your question. 

To answer your question more detailed, knowing the type of residence you have might be helpful. Speaking in general, applying for a visa, some countries require a minimum validity of your passport of 6 months.

 Regarding your German residence permit (given the fact, that you are allowed to travel/leave Germany in general and also allowed to visit your country of origin), I don’t see an issue as long as the residence permit is valid.

Thanks for the fast reply my residence permit is Para 25 Act 5 I got it from my child who also have para 33 she was born here because the mother have Paars 28 Becox the first child the Vater is Deutsche and the Child have German passport.
My Ghana passport is valid for 5years is only my residence permit that will expire on August but am allowed to travel to Ghana but I taught I have a limit month for it to expire it will be a problem but thanks for explaining all to be.
