Beschäftigungsduldung will come into effect on 1st January, 2020. If I get this status, can I travel to non-European and other European countries?

Thanks.

Dear @Sab,

Thank you for reaching out to us again!

As the new law will come into effect in 2020, I'm sure that a lot of information will follow throughout this year.

Right now, I can only assume that the travel restrictions for people with a Duldung-status will also apply to people with a Beschäftigungsduldung: travelling abroad is not possible and you  may need an exemption by Ausländerbehörde if you want to leave the country.

Here is a similar case answered by Thorgen:

Can I travel to Paris with my current 3-years Ausbildungsduldung status?

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.

All the best,

Isa
