As an Israeli citizen, you can travel to Germany without a visa and stay for up to 90 days. If you wish to stay longer, you make an application for a residence permit at the immigration office in Leipzig (Ausländerbehörde Leipzig). These types of permits could most likely come into consideration for you:
- 16f: language course
- 16b: studying, and also preparatory courses in order to study (called ‘Studienkolleg’)
- 17: searching and applying for studies
- 19c: work permit. This option is not always so well known about as it only applies to nationalities of certain countries, including Israel. It means you can get a permit to work any kind of job, not just for qualified work.
