I came in Germany on 11th July 2024, from Rwanda but I passed in France and I had to do a dublin interview . I was Pregnant now I have a 3months old daughter who was born here in Germany, but the BAMF decided to reject my asylum procedures and said that France has declared or accepted to be responsible of my case and I don't want to go back to France as I came here seeking for protection I don't wish to go anywhere else, my question is this what can I do to stay in Germany or to win my Dublin case should I have to find a lawyer or there are some organizations that can help me and my daughter to convince the BAMF to be responsible of my asylum case. Let me know any advice or any ideas that can help me. Thank you!

Dear @Mimiola,

Welcome to the Wefugees Community and thank you for reaching out to us.

I recommend you to get in touch with a refugee counselling office (the most specialised on these kind of questions would be the so-called "Asylverfahrensberatung"/asylum procedure counselling). You may use this search engine to find a counselling service in your area. If you want to share with us your approximate location, we can also help you with the research.

Some general information: After France's approval to take you back, Germany has six months to return you. If you are not deported within six months, Germany will be responsible for your asylum procedure. Please note: If you are detained in a prison, the deadline is extended to 12 months. And if you prevent deportation to the other country, e.g. by absconding, the deadline is extended to 18 months. You can also be accused of absconding if, for example, you have not been in your accommodation for more than a week and the BAMF becomes aware of this.

I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to get back to us with any further questions or if you need help with finding a counselling office.

All the best,

Meike
