Family Reunification for family of refugee

Question

Hello, I have been trying to find information regarding our situation online but none seem to match.
My husband is in the process of claiming asylum in germany, he is Syrian. We have been married for years, before he traveled to Germany and have children together. I am Canadian,  so of course I am not able to receive any kind of international protection. But will he be able to apply for us to be reunited as a family after he gets a positive decision? Would he still be exempt from showing financial requirements?
Finally, will having a spouse from another country affect his asylum application? It is not possible for the foreseeable future for us to move together to Canada,  and he did not previously live there.

Hi. From my POV something is not adding up. You said you are married and isn't that an exemption for him to have Canadian documents? To be honest having to seek asylum and granted documents might take years and still not even get the documents. If he is granted asylum he will not need to prove any financial documents. Have you heard in some states in Germany they have introduced prepaid card which means no cashing out money  if he will rely on those benefits. All the best..

Thank you for your answer.  We lived together in Turkey before he came to Germany and married there so no he doesn't have Canadian documents.

My honest opinion it would be better to relocate together either Turkey or Canada. If he seek Asylum alone in Germany he won't be able to reunite with his family unless he is granted Asylum. Possible way he can still apply for Germany visa and you join him legally.
