Good day everyone,

Please I have a question, is it true that if someone has Ausbildung Certificate, you don’t need einbürgerungstest Certificate to apply for naturalization.

Hi @Felix15

That is generally not true. There are certain cases where the authorities accept a qualification instead of having to pass the Einbürgerungstest. This is the case if a person has a school certificate from Germany or has a university level degree in subjects such as law or politics.

In all other cases, the qualification or studies would have to have contained subject matter on the legal and social order in Germany. If a person has a university degree in biology, for example, they would still have to take the test.

The only kind of Ausbildung I can think of that may allow an exception from the test is one that involves public administration (Verwaltung), as I presume a person learns a lot about such topics. In all other cases, the test is necessary.
