Dear @Augustino2k7,

Welcome to the Wefugees Community and thank you for reaching out to us.

I saw that you opened a second thread with the question "can I use my prakikum als maker and Lackierer to return to Germany and the gave me a streife what do I do to clear this please". I hope it is okay for you if we discuss your general situation in this thread (and close the other) now. It will help us to keep a better overview and information in once place.

First of all, you were probably issued a re-entry ban (usually for about 5 years) to the Schengen area due to the deportation. This means that you are not allowed to enter Germany (and most probably the other Schengen countries) within this period and won't be able to obtain a visa in general. Under certain circumstances, one can apply for a shortening of this period at the immigration office (Ausländerbehörde).

I suppose the German authorities are aware of your actual identity - perhaps they were asking the Nigerian embassy back then for support and to issue travel papers?

In any case you will need to apply for a visa in order to be able to return. You were mentioning that you did an internship as painter/varnisher. This alone will not be a reason to be issued a visa. But I can recommend you to check the "Make it in Germany" website for a first overview on visa types. If you speak German, an "Ausbildung" might be an option at some point?

I know that the Diakonie project "prepared and successful migration to Germany" will open a counselling in Nigeria soon. I believe that you will find respective information and contact details on their website once they offer their services there. I am sure it can be very helpful to get some individual advice and support as the whole process will be indeed not easy.

In any case, please also don't hesitate to get back to us with any further questions.

All the best,

Meike
