change of Visa

Is it possible to change a Ausbildung Visa type to Trainee Visa type.I am degreed so l got a opportunity to work as Trainee Graduate in Finance department in Frankfurt currently l am living in Dortmund.I am doing IT specialist Ausbilding but this new opportunity is in Finance.

To my knowledge there isn’t a ‘trainee visa’ as such. The Ausbildung visa itself is for traineeships or apprenticeships. You are currently in possession of a residence permit according to paragraph 16a of the Aufenthaltsgesetz. This permit is both for apprenticeships (Ausbildung) and further training (Weiterbildung). As long as the other requirements are fulfilled (e.g. being able to support yourself financially) I do not see an issue.
