I am living in Germany for over 5 years and got my permanent residency this year. I have Blue passport. My fiancée living in Azerbaijan and I need to go there to meet with her family and wedding issue. However, embassy is not giving me normal information. Last time when I asked they told you are eligible if you get your permanent residency we can give the visa. After I got my permanent resident now they are telling “ we can’t accept with a Blue passport. However as a convention it is written I am eligible to apply for a visa to Azerbaijan. Can you please help me with the issue. It is really urgent for me.

Thanks in advance

Hey @Mustapha,

Welcome to the Wefugees Community and thank you for reaching out to us.

My colleague Fardeen explained once in this thread which countries accept the blue refugee passport. Basically it’s all countries which signed the Geneva Refugee Convention- and Azerbaijan signed it too. Therefore, it should be theoretically possible for you to obtain a visa. I will try to make more research on it and maybe other community members can share experience in this regard as well.

All the best,
