The specific requirements for the study program are set by every university. I tried to make some research and read that universities as well as the company in which you will work in the dual program may ask for good grades in the main subjects as Maths, German and English. While I was going through some sources I never came across the requirement of a science specialisation in high school. But this may vary also from university to university and from company to company. As far as I understood, applying for a dual study position in a company will be the first step of the process. You may check vacancy announcements to get an overview. Some companies may also invite potential candidates to assessment centres.
