Dear @Hakeem,
Thank you very much for sharing your question with the Wefugees Community.
If you try to find a vocational training (Berufsusbildung) for yourself, it is much easier for you to get a Duldung for a vocational training (an Ausbildungsduldung) after the possible rejection of your asylum application by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). You can, for example, talk to your current employer and ask them if they can give you a vocational training (Ausbildung) there or search a vocational training for yourself somewhere else. After finding one, you should get the permission for doing it from your Foreigners Office (Ausländerbehörde). If you already start your vocational training, before BAMF rejects your asylum application, after the rejection of it by BAMF, you can directly apply for an Ausbildungsduldung in your Foreigners Office. Because you have already got the permission for a vocational training from the Foreigners Office and you have already started your Vocational training during your asylum process, after the rejection of your asylum, when you apply for an Ausbildungsduldung in your Foreigners Office, they will give you an Auslbildungsduldung. Otherwise, if someone starts a vocational training after the rejection of their asylum application, they must have a Duldung for a minimum of 3 months, before they can apply for an Ausbildungsduldung.
In case you want to have a Beschäftigungsduldung and want to escape the 12 months of Duldung period, unfortunately, it is not possible to escape these 12 months and get a Beschäftigungsduldung directly after a rejection from BAMF. If you come from a country, where a deportation is currently not possible, for example, from Afghanistan, or some other countries, you might not be deported in case of a rejection; however, in many other cases it is possible that they deport you. Nevertheless, there are some ways to prevent a deportation, such as an objection/complain in the administrative court against the decision of the BAMF, asylum in the church and so on, so that you can have a Duldung and stay until these 12 months of Duldung are completed.
