Residence Permit from Duldung

Good Evening,
I came in Germany around 9 years back. I applied for political refugee. My case was denied. And since then I have been living as a Duldung holder. I don't take any financial support from the government. I have a permanent job. And I have A2 German Language certificate.

I have some questions.
(1) As I have lived for more than 9 years, can I apply for residence permit? For that I have to submit my national passport. Will they deport me if they don't issue residence permit?

(2) If they give me residence permit, can I visit my home country with that? As at the beginning I sought for political refugee and was denied, will there be any problems if I visit my home country?  

It would be of great help if you might enlighten me. Thanks for your valuable time.

Hello Joman,
I think residence permit in accordance with section 25b of the residence Act should be a very decent opportunity for you. Based on your question, you can apply for a residence permit.
Because you fulfill the following requirements.
1) you have lived in Germany for 8 years
2) You are well integrated into the German labor market, in other words you self dependant
3) you have A2 language certificate
But keep in mind that there are others requirements in addition to those I have listed above.

Section 25(5) is also another alternative for you.

My suggestion...

After duldung for 18 month, you can try apply for 25.5

After 8 years in Germany, you can try 25b.

Lastly, if any of the resident permit is granted, you can visit your home country.
