Dear Mr camara,
Welcome back to the Wefugees Community and thank you for reaching out to us again.
As you might know, our platform and our experts are based in Germany. Therefore, we are unfortunately not too familiar with Austrian immigration or residence law. I also could not fully understand, if you want to live in Austria or in Germany. If you are seeking to obtain a residence card for family members of EU nationals in Germany, one of requirements will be that you actually live together with that EU national (here) and the person is entitled to the freedom of movement (which might get a bit complicated in case you are deriving that status from a child). If you want to live in Austria, I would highly recommend you or your child's mother to **** for local support by an organisation or counselling office in Austria. Nevertheless, if you hold your residence permit according to section 19d for at least 5 years (please check the full list of requirements, for instance, here) you might also be able to apply for a permanent residence permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis) in Germany independently.
I will also link two of our experts here. Dear @mbeon-Rukundo or dear @mbeon-fardeen, am I right on this or is there anything you would like to add?
I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to get back to us with any further questions.
All the best,
Meike
I hope
