Dear @inam

Welcome to the Wefugees Community and thank you for your question.

I assume you are staying in Germany? As far as I know, marriages here are only recognized and valid in a legal sense if they were registered in the registry office (“Standesamt”) and not when they are “only” committed in the mosque (Islamic marriage). If you are legally married you might have the chance to apply for a family reunification visa for her. You are a recognized refugee here?

In any case, some more details on your situation will be helpful to share tailored information.

Please get back to us if you want to discuss your case further.

All the best,

Meike

Thanks for sparing some time to reply me. Yes I have been living in Germany for almost 5 years now and my case is still in process and hasn’t been accepted yet. Now now my wife wants to come live with me but I think she can only get 3 months at a time. So I was wondering what I could do in order to get her to stay with me forever given my circumstances.. thanks again Meike
