Hello,

I am just about to finish my Ausbildung for Sozialpflege and then I will get a residence permit.

I’ve my wife and child also with me in Germany. We all are in Asylfarfahren at the moment. So, the question is will my wife and child also get the residence permit?

Best Regards,

Hello @Roger123, welcome to the Wefugees community and thank you for sharing your question with us. First of all, congratulations. Finishing an apprenticeship in German language is a real achievement! There are some (quite restrained) chances for your wife and child to obtain a residence permit, but you should carefully weigh up your options. If you are granted an asylum status, you'll enjoy some benefits such as easier naturalization, no restriction to work with your current employer for the next two years and some more. If you withdraw the asylum application, there is no way back. If you want your wife and child to get a residence permit when you have finished your vocational training, you'll (and they'll) have to meet a lot of conditions like sufficient living space, sufficient earnings for three persons and so on. I would recommend you to ask your lawyer (if you have one) about the pros and cons of both options before you take a decision. I hope my answers were useful for you and I'll be very pleased if you contact me again with further questions. I'm a member of the MBEON-staff and I‘ll be glad to guide over a longer period of time. Thanks for your reply.
I have been offered a job already worth 1,600 /- euros Netto plus Weekends and Weihnachten Geld.

I am also in search of a three bedroom Wohnung. I am really looking forward to change my asylum to my work permit. I want to know if this earning is enough for the family residence permit.

We are waiting for our decision for last 4 years and we have no more confidence regarding our Asylum.

Please can you advice regarding my child (she born in Germany) and wife’s residence permit requirements.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
