I came here in Germany on job seeker VISA. I could not find a job and now my VISA will expire in 20 days. Is there any possibility to extend my stay or change the VISA status? Does German act provide any facilities for the highly qualified worker? Your help much be appreciated.

Thanks

Dear @Hanf

Thank you for reaching out to the Wefugees Community and sorry for the late reply!

As you raised this question a few days ago, how is your current situation?

Unfortunately, I am not experienced with job seekers visa. But I will link some of our very knowledgeable experts here. @mbeon-caritas or @mbeon-Bernd, can you give Hanf some advice or recommendations?

@Hanf, where are you staying at the moment? Did you consult a migration counselling office already?

Also, the "Agentur für Arbeit" might support you with your job search. They publish a job board online as well. Please see their website for contact details (https://***.arbeitsagentur.de/en/job-board).

Looking forward to hear from you soon and to get an update.

All the best,

Meike
