Hello,
I live together with my partner and 2 daughters 16 months and 5 month old. We are currently living  in Laatzen. I am from Pakistan and she is from Mauritius.
I have duldung since 2017 and my partner has just got a duldung. Is family asylum applicable in our case? Is there any that can help us stay in Germany with our children?

Thanks in advance

Dear @Sakhi

Thank you for sharing your situation with the Wefugees community and sorry for the rather late reply.

As you are both holders of a “Duldung”, your asylum applications has been rejected, I assume?

Family asylum means, that if one member of the family got recognized as a refugee, the other chore family members (if applying) will also be granted the refugee status.

Regarding your perspectives in Germany, did you think about making an Ausbildung and apply for the so-called “Ausbildungsduldung”? This could secure your stay for 3 years of the vocational training plus 2 years of working after you finished it.

Please feel free to get back to us with any further questions or if you want to discuss your case a bit closer.

All the best,

Meike
