Hello wefugees, actually I am an asylum seeker in the UK case pending since Oct 2017. I'm fleeing persecution from my home country cameroon. Recently my husband who is a U. S citizen serving in the US Army and I just got married in the UK at a designated registry. He is about to file for me to join him in the US. Can he proceed while I'm still on asylum claims in the UK? Secondly the home office is in possession of my passport what do I do to get my passport and what are the implications of withdrawing my passport?
Lastly will the home office or US consulate ask me to go back to my home country before my husband can file for me??? Honestly I can't step my feet there because I'm wanted by the government. Please I need your advice.
