Hi There,

I am a Yemeni citizen residing in Malaysia under a student pass. My family is also with me here but the authorities have refused to add them to my student visa and as such, once their visitor pass ends, within a month, they will be forced to leave the country. There is no other place for them to go except Yemen, which has been living a disastrous internal and external war for over two years. The war resulted in the world's worst cholera outbreak, according to the UN, with more than 400K cases reported. It also represents the world's worst food insecurity case, with more than 7 million ppl on the verge of starvation. I can't leave my family go back there to face their death and am planning to seek asylum in Frankfurt. My question is would my student visa here form grounds for rejecting the asylum application for the whole family? If it does, shall I cancel it before leaving?

Thank you so much
Khaled
