According to German law, you do not reach the age of majority – and therefore adulthood – until the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18 years and you have arrived in Germany without a responsible adult, you are considered an “unaccompanied minor.” The local youth welfare office will **** after you in this case. This office will arrange accommodations for you, for example, in a youth welfare facility or other residence.

Next, your situation will be assessed in a so-called “Clearing Procedure” to determine your place of origin, age, and state of health. Attempts will be made to find your family members, and a decision will be made as to whether an application for asylum will be filed for you.

If you are below the age of 18 and have been afforded asylum or subsidiary protection in Germany, you can have your parents join you without further requirements.

However, if your asylum procedure is still in process, or you have a suspension of deportation, or you have only been granted temporary residence, family reunification will not be permitted.

I hope this information is helpful
