Dear Wefugees Team,

After being successfully married here in Berlin on last June, we are expecting our first child next year.

Point to be noted that, I came here in Berlin 7 years ago with a Student visa & my student visa was expired 2 years ago and I didn't even finish my study.
I didn't inform that to Auslanderbehörde because I was scared of getting deported.
So, I therefore have no other valid document other than my Indian passport.

Next month I have an appointment at Auslanderbehörde to apply for my residence permit and my wife (German) is currently pregnant for 2 months.

My question is, how is my possibility to get a residence permit next month to stay with my family?

I would be grateful if you can help me with any kind of advice or information.
Thank you in advance for reading.

You should have seek legal advice and have a lawyer before making an appointment directly with the Auslanderberhöde for residence permit when you don't have any legal right to stay nor any protection, the Auslanderberhöde will likely ask you to go back to India and apply for a family reunion visa.
