Greetings,
Our asylum case is still pending. I heard during the asylum case you can only move within your own gemeinde/stadt. But I also heard that if you dont receive any "asylum seekers benefit" money, you can move out within the landkreis. Is this true? Can anyone inform me?
State is Baden Württemberg. I forgot to include this on the previous post

Hi @maribel999

Yes, you can move out of your ‘Gemeinde/ Stadt’ if you are able to financially support yourself. You have to show that you have a regular income that it is more than the amount provided for by asylum seekers’ benefits. You have to make an application with your local Ausländerbehörde to have the obligation to live in a certain place removed. This application is called ‘Antrag auf Aufhebung der Wohnsitzauflage’ and is made in accordance with paragraph 60 of the Asylgesetz. You need to send supporting documentation (job contract, payslips) with the application.

Best,
