I have subsidiary protection in Germany. I got accepted to participate in a fellowship in the US for 4 months. Can i still go? Would that affect my residency status? Thank you!

The rule is same for all the legal resident permit holders, regardless of refugee protection or not. You can stay abroad for a maximum period of six months before your residence permit expires.
