Approval of girlfriends birth certificate

Hello I am my girlfriend are in the process of getting married but when we were at the Standesamt We were told only my documents will be sent to my home country for approval that is my birth certificate On my bachelor certificate which is all okay do you prepare everything and when the Standesamt Send my documents to the Landesgericht they wroteMy girlfriends birth certificate Should be sent to the Philippine consulate in Berlin be proved but the question I have my girlfriend is a deutsch citizen and she was one’s married in Germany. And also ask for the death certificate of her parents. I want to ask if that is normal because she is deutsch citizenAnd was once married in Germany thank you

Welcome to the Wefugees Community and sorry for the rather late reply. 

Unfortunately, I can not share much experience on this topic either. As far as I know, the civil servants at the registry office (Standesamt) are quite independent in their decisions. Maybe the person who was in charge for your partner's first marriage was not having any doubt about the birth certificate or did not pay too much attention. This seems to be different now. And did I understand correctly, that the Landesgericht is asking for the approval by the embassy? Do you maybe want to explain why the Landesgericht is involved in the first place? The most important question would be, from my perspective, whether you are able to get the embassy's varification of the birth certificate and the death certificates. If not, you may need to contact a lawyer for support.
