Dear Wasim Ahmad,

Welcome to the Wefugees Community and thank you for reaching out to us.

Depending on the company/employer of your apprenticeshhip, they may require or welcome that you are speaking Englisch at work (for instance when dealing with international clients/customers). However, as  the vocational training system in Germany is a dual system and you will attend a vocational training school at the same time, the lessons here will most probably predominantly be hold in German.

From my experience, speaking German on a level of B1 (better B2) will be necessary in order to catch up at school and to finish successfully. I recommend you to discuss those aspects with your (potential) training company right from the beginning.

I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to get back to us with any further questions.

All the best,

Meike
