First of all, the list of the so-called "safe countries of origin" is still relatively short. It contains:
- - the Member States of the European Union,
- - Albania,
- - Bosnia and Herzegovina,
- - Ghana,
- - Kosovo,
- - North Macedonia,
- - Montenegro,
- - Senegal, and
- - Serbia
with the western balkan countries joining that list most recently in 2015.
That said, even if you are from one of the here mentioned countries, it doesn't mean that your asylum application will not be checked individually.
If you got the refugee status and received a respective residence permit, the BAMF will introduce a so-called "Widerrufsverfahren" every few years. In this procedure it will check if your reasons for receiving the international protection are still given. This is not connected to your country of origin, instead it is the normal procedure for every refugee. In case your personal situation or the conditions in your country of origin changed significantly, it may revoke the status. But you can be sure that nothing happens automatically and without checking your asylum reasons in detail. Nevertheless, it is always the safest way to secure the residence as soon as possible with applying for a permanent residence permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis) in Germany.
