Dear @Coop,
Welcome back to the Wefuees Community and thank you for reaching out to us again.
I tried to make some research regarding artificial insemination and the costs in Germany. This is, what you were asking for, right?
Inter alia this website, wich gives an general overview on health insurance services in Germany, states:
The share of the cost covered by the health insurance fund depends primarily on your health insurance fund and the private or statutory insurance. The type of treatment also plays a major role.
We have compiled an overview of the costs of the individual artificial insemination treatments for you. You should also find out from your insurance which costs the health insurance fund will cover.
Legal conditions for cost coverage in Germany
Whether the costs for a planned child are covered, depends – among other things – on some of the legal framework conditions. To find out which conditions apply to your health insurance fund, please contact the appropriate health insurance fund. Examples of these conditions include the following:
- The partners must be married.
- The woman must be between 25 and 39 years old.
- The man should not be older than 49 years.
Therefore, I would recommend you to get in touch with your individual health insurance in order to discuss the details.
I hope this helps and all the best,
Meike
