I got a duldung today and the auslanderbehorde took my passport why [closed]

I got rejected on sept 3 2020 resident permit through my child . My girlfriend and i live together and has actually applied for german passport but when the child was born we still dont hv a reply . My lawyer appealed at the administrative court that my girlfriend is a nurse and i take care of the child while she is at work . My child is 5 months old , Today i had appointment with the auslanderbehorde and they gave me 3 months Duldung and took my passport because my appeal is on pending, when i was askec why the lady said i cab only take the passport if i want to open bank acc and return it back . Why
