Hi, im a US citizen and i want to move to germany and marry my boyfriend who is an asylum seeker in Germany. What would happen to his case if we marry in germany? What would my status be in germany? Also after he receives his asylum case acceptance and go through the job center will i also be under his case in the job center or not?

For a familyreunification to a recognized refugee in Germany, you must have been married before your boyfriend left his homecaountry.

I think, in the moment you will not get a visa for a marriage. in principle, an asylum seeker can get married in Germany. But it is important that he has all the necessary papers.If he is recognized as an asylum seeker, you live together and is entitled to unemployment benefit 2 from the job center, you will be counted together, even if you are married or not.
