Dear @Diamond

Thank you for sharing your question with the Wefugees community!

Why would you want to cancel your asylum case before the marriage is registered? In my opinion, it would be safer to take back the asylum application in favor of a residence permit as a spouse of a German citizen after the marriage is officially acknowledged here.

In general, marrying in Germany is not dependent on the status. You may want to check our blog on this topic (https://wefugees.wordpress.***/2018/04/20/heiraten-in-deutschland-how-to-marry/) for more details.

Please do not hesitate to get back to us if you want to discuss your case further!

Thank you meike for your respond.

I haven’t canceled my asylum anyway, I just need a fast way to register my marriage because I don’t stay in Munich anymore and I was asked to apply for transfer to Hamburg because that’s where me and my wife is living now and secondly she is pregnant so I want to get access to work at least to support my family.

Dear @Diamond

As one of our experts explained recently in a very detailed way: A registration of a marriage in that sense is only possible/necessary if one of the spouses is German. Please have a **** at the following thread for more information: https://***.wefugees.de/806842/working-studying-germany-pakistan-register-marriage-germany.

If I understand you correctly, you handed in a so-called "Umverteilungsantrag" at the "Ausländerbehörde" already? To support that application, you should definitely give them a copy of your marriage certificate also.

In any case, your situation sounds quite complicated to me and I would recommend you to seek further consultation in a migration counselling office or via the mbeon-App, for example. Taking back an asylum application should be carefully discussed with an expert.

Please let us know, if you need support on finding a counselling office or if you need more information on the mbeon-services.

All the best,

Meike
